El presidente está cayendo en la trampa de la oposición de querer polarizar el país de nuevo, ahora con marchas y contramarchas, un camino peligroso, ese sí, que nos haría parecernos a la fallida Venezuela de Chávez y Maduro.
El mandatario parece no entender aún que la polarización es el escenario que mas les conviene a quienes pretenden detener las reformas, crear un ambiente artificial de pesimismo, caos y confrontación política en las calles, al tiempo que le arman también artificialmente procesos judiciales contra él y su familia para por alguna de esas vias acorralado y arrinconado hacerlo cometer un error y así tener la excusa perfecta para sacarlo del poder a sombrerazos desconociendo los resultados electorales.
Las marchas no tumban presidentes. Eso puede que ocurra en otros países como Ecuador, Perú o Bolivia, pero aquí no, aquí la figura presidencial es casi intocable por tradición institucional, en eso el presidente debería ser conservador y actuar en concordancia, hacer valer esa falacia que dice que somos ‘la democracia mas antigua y estable de Latinoamérica’. “Compórtate como príncipe y serás tratado como tal” dice el antiguo adagio y cuanta razón hay ahí. Hora de aplicarlo. Un príncipe colombiano debe ser, o aparentar ser, como la mujer de César: ¡todo un demócrata!
Escribo que peligroso, porque esa fue exactamente la ruta que siguió la oposición venezolana para provocar el caos en ese país y conducirlo a lo que hoy vemos. A pesar de que todos culpan a Chávez soy de los que piensa que la oposición venezolana que armó el mierdero allá y luego migró a Miami tuvo mucho que ver con la ruina de ese país.
A diferencia de muchos, antes de la elección de Petro nunca temí que pudiéramos convertirnos en otra Venezuela por cuenta de los rumores (chismes) que difundieron sus opositores acerca de que si este llegaba al poder iba a expropiar, a silenciar a la prensa y a perseguir opositores, ninguna de esas falsas advertencias se ha cumplido, tan sabedores estaban de sus mentiras sus creadores y difusores que habiendo amenazado con irse del país si Petro era elegido, nunca lo hicieron. Aquí siguen, tranquilos haciendo sus negocios, ¡ah! ¡y haciendo lo mismo, ahora ya no para evitar que gane Petro sino para tumbarlo!
Lo que sí me preocupaba era la que advertí sería la reacción de la élite económica y política del país dueña de los medios de comunicación tradicionales, que empecinadas en no perder sus negocios y privilegios harían todo lo posible por sembrar el pesimismo económico, el odio a la figura personal del presidente (algunas marchantes marcharon porque Petro les parece feo y tiene -dicen ellas- ‘una mirada fea, de hombre malo’) y la polarización a través campañas permanentes de difamación y distorsión de la realidad para por ese camino crear deliberadamente un ambiente de caos, el mismo caos que sembró la oposición venezolana para sacar a Chávez y que -con ayuda del mismo Chávez, que cayó en la trampa- arruinó a ese país.
Puede que Petro se parezca a Chávez en lo idealista y dicharachero, mejor dicho, en lo ‘charlatán’; incluso que sea feo, como algunos dicen, y que solo por eso le odien, o que a veces sueñe con ese mundo utópico que solo cabe en su cabeza, pero hay una diferencia fundamental que los distingue: Petro es un hombre muy inteligente, sabe de política, conoce el Estado de pe a pa, es un estadista no un militar, sabe de economía, es alumno aventajado y laureado de una de las mejores facultades de economía del mundo, algunos de sus profesores y compañeros han sido postulados al premio nobel, son sus contertulios y amigos, pero sobre todo, estoy convencido de que es un demócrata a carta cabal, en Washington lo saben, por eso lo dejan actuar.
Por eso pienso -no creo- aclaro, y aquí hago un paréntesis, porque los opinadores debemos publicar lo que pensamos no lo que creemos, así como los periodistas que informan, deben hacer eso -informar- no -opinar- salvo que aclaren que están haciendo esto último, -cierro el paréntesis- que el presidente no debe caer en la provocación de ‘sacar al pueblo a las calles’ porque eso es exactamente lo que quieren quienes están interesados en tumbarlo, convertir las calles del país en un escenario de confrontación física, de guerra civil, entre simpatizantes y detractores del gobierno y eso ni a Petro ni al país le conviene, pues nos haría, ahí sí, comenzar a parecernos a la Venezuela de Chávez.
Legítimas las marchas de la oposición, no hay que ignorarlas, hay que respetarlas, pero… ¡son solo eso, marchas, no elecciones!
